As a plant materials, corrosion and coatings engineer for over twenty years at Florida Power- Progress Energy and an additional twenty years with Bechtel, I know most of us have corrosion and coatings problems. AE’s, utilities and refineries certainly have their share, especially when steel is used in construction. Since 2004 as Corr-Coat we specialize in corrosion programs, budgets and Programs. We represent Duromar, a top of the line, respected American coating system manufacturer and we also represent Plastocor, a specialty services provider in the area of heat exchangers and condensers. We can offer you years of experience and excellent products to assist you in solving some of your corrosion problems.

Duromar may be new to you; although they have been making 100% solids, zero VOC epoxy coatings in this country for over thirty-five years. Duromar (duromar.com) is well known in power plant maintenance and works where atmospheric coatings normally fail. They can solve most maintenance (solvent, temperature, chemical resistance, wear, erosion, corrosion and immersion) application problems. These products come in sizes from 4 gallons to small 1 kg. repair kits epoxies that normally brush, roll, trowel or spray. Duromar materials are used by Plastocor (plastocor.com) in circulating water systems, heat exchangers and condensers. Plastocor is a world wide company. They are also used by Curran International (curranintl.com) a fine company based out of Houston, specializing in Petro-Chemical but serving all industries.

As Corr-Coat we are a plant survey and budget specialist. We can help you obtain the funding necessary to support your program or develop one with you. Case Study

One of our recent clients was a large electric utility with over 40 sites, 146 units, and 17,600 MW of power. They needed a survey of their plants and a condition assessment to determine what they had and what needed to be done. We surveyed over 35,000,000 ft2 of coatings, and established budgets with priorities. They now have a program that they can live with in both good times and bad. They know that they are spending the least amount possible whatever funding level they choose.
